Matt Rose is a 15-year veteran of the Tulsa Police Department (TPD) and is currently assigned to the Gilcrease Division. Rose has worked all three patrol divisions throughout the city of Tulsa focusing on developing ties with the community and the department. He previously supervised the Senior Services Unit for three years fighting crimes against the elderly and bridging the gap in TPD’s relationship with Adult Protective Services and the district attorney’s office.

“The reason I wanted to join the board was to give back to an organization who has helped first responders so much,” said Rose. “I have seen the immeasurable number of hours the staff and volunteers put in to responding to emergencies and assisting first responders.”

For the past four years Rose has served as a team leader for TPD’s Incident Management Team where he has been a team member for over 12 years.

Rose has worked as an incident commander during multiple tornado events and other largescale incidents ensuring a coordinated response with the county EOC. This has allowed him to engage with Samantha Henry, an American Red Cross team member, on numerous occasions on callouts and incidents in Tulsa. He is also a credentialed liaison in the State of Oklahoma.

“The American Red Cross steps up to assist the community in some of the worst of times, yet they do it with compassion and grace, and that’s why I’m proud to be a representative of the organization,” said Rose.

Notably, Rose was also elected as Oklahoma’s youngest city councilmember in Seminole, Okla., at the age of 20 and ran two terms as councilmember before relocating to Tulsa. He most recently served as President of the Rt. 66 Main Street Board and was a past board member.

Rose earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma in 2004. He was also a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. Rose is married to his wife Julie and has two children, Cash and Blair.
