Reynolds Wellness Center Returns to Normal Operations
The Reynolds Wellness Center (RWC) is now open and operating normally with a few safety modifications, according to Executive Director Matt Pollock.
“As we have transitioned through our reopening phases with caution, we are very thankful for our members who have stayed and helped us through the process. We are continuing to monitor our safety plan and evaluate which safeguards work best for our members and community,” Pollock said.
Normal operating hours will resume on Monday, June 15. The RWC will be open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
With the RWC returning to normal operating conditions, they ask members who have had any symptoms of sickness, fever in excess of 100.5 F, or symptoms associated with COVID-19 to remain outside the facility. They also ask members to maintain a social distance as they feel comfortable while inside the facility. Masks are not required but are encouraged for those that desire to wear them.
Social distancing in the weight and cardio areas will be achieved by using every other machine, when possible. The weight and cardio areas will continue to close for 20 minutes, three times per day, for specialized cleaning. Those areas will be closed for cleaning at 7:40 a.m., 11:40 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. each day. Members are asked to use another part of the facility during those times. The basketball courts, children’s play feature and rentals will be open without restrictions.
There are additional safeguards that will be in place. Showers will be open for use, but clients will be required to provide their own towels. Check-in of all clients will continue without a vein scan and childcare operations will remain closed until further notice. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied and remain under the supervision of an adult over the age of 16. Youth between the ages of 13 and 16 may utilize the center alone, provided a parent or guardian has signed a permission form to indicate they are authorized to be alone, understand the facility rules and limit their visit to no more than 2 hours.
“We look forward to greeting our returning members and look forward to meeting our new ones,” said Pollock.
