Pott. County Opens Drive-Thru Testing Clinic

Posted in:

The Pottawatomie County Health Department, along with Citizen Potawatomi Nation, announced a drivethru COVID-19 testing clinic happening Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or until supplies are no longer available. The clinic will be located at the Citizen Potawatomi Community Development Corporation, 1545 S Gordon Cooper Dr, Shawnee, OK 74801.

The Pottawatomie County Health Department invites those 18 years and older who are experiencing a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, accompanied by a cough or shortness of breath, to get tested at the drive-thru clinic. Testing is free and does not require insurance.

Clients will be asked to answer screening questions through their car window and will need to give verbal consent to be tested. Health department providers will use a nasal swab test that will be transported to a lab for testing results.

“This clinic is valuable to the public and will assist us in better understanding the scope of COVID-19 within this community,” said Jackie Kanak, administrative director for the Pottawatomie County Health Department.

Test Site details are as follows:

April 2 and April 3: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or as supplies last)
