Police ID Man Responsible For Trashing Clothing Donation Site
Eyesore. Disgusting. Disrespectful. Those are just a few of the words that local residents have been using lately to describe the area around the clothing donation boxes in the Seminole Walmart parking lot.
Recently, three mattresses were left in front of one of the bins. Two of the mattresses were propped up against the box, and the other one was left lying in the grass. Trash, some of it loose, some of it bagged, can often be spotted near the bins.
With the help of concerned citizens, police have identified someone who has been at least partially responsible for the messy situation along Wrangler Boulevard.
“Thanks to the city’s Citizen Problem Reporter, a male subject that is responsible for illegally dumping at the donation boxes has been identified and located,” Police Chief Jon Withers said on Friday. “He admitted to everything, with the exception of the mattresses. This person has talked with an officer on duty and will go back to clean the site. We appreciate all the help from those who use the problem reporter,” Withers added.
The online Citizen Problem Reporter, which can be accessed from the city’s website (www.seminole-oklahoma.net), can be used by the public to report non-emergency problems or to make requests for service.
