The 67 ^th annual reunion for alumni of Pleasant Grove and Prairie View Schools is slated for next weekend in Seminole.

The event will take place Saturday, June 26 at the Enoch Kelly Haney Center on the campuses of Seminole State College. Registration and visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon. The event will conclude with a business meeting, which is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. and last about 90 minutes.

Other planned activities include bingo (25 cents per card) and a silent auction. Event organizers request that auction items be in good condition. All proceeds will go directly into the alumni budget.

Class officers include Mary McCormick, President; John Winrow, President – elect; Jim Choate, Treasurer; Linda Choate Hardy, Secretary and Shirley Simpson Wilkins, Historian.

Pleasant Grove School once stood west of Seminole and was an independent school district. The school was annexed by the Seminole School District in 2011 and was closed shortly thereafter.
