OU Health Expert Features Information on Recognizing and Preventing Stroke
OKLAHOMA CITY – OU Health Physicians will present “Learn to Recognize and Prevent a Stroke” at a virtual event, noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, July 15.
A stroke occurs when a blood vessel that carries oxygen to the brain is either blocked by a clot or bursts. When it occurs that part of the brain will not function as it should. The effects of a stroke depend on the location of the obstruction and the extent of brain affected.
Jorge Ortiz-Garcia, M.D., OU Health Physicians neurologist, will present an informative talk about stroke diagnosis and treatment. Garcia specializes in stroke treatment and will share important information about recognizing and preventing strokes
