Oklahoma State Department of Health Situation Update

Seminole County has seen the number of confirmed positive cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) stay the same, but more information has been provided about the cities within the county in the latest report from the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH). Countywide, there have been 21 confirmed positive cases, two deaths and 11 recoveries.

The unknown location of the latest confirmed case was in the city of Seminole. That brings the total number of confirmed cases in Seminole to 10, including one death and seven recoveries. Wewoka has experienced eight cases and two recoveries; Konawa has two confirmed cases, one death and one recovery; and Sasakwa has reported one confirmed case and one recovery.

The OSDH has issued the following situation update about COVID-19 in Oklahoma:

As of this advisory, there are 4,732 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma.

There are five additional deaths; one of them occurred in the past 24 hours and the others died between April 30 – May 9: One in Tulsa County, a female in the 50-64 age group. One in Cleveland County, a female in the 65 and older age group. One in Greer County, a female in the 65 and older age group. One in Ottawa County, a female in the 65 and older age group. One in Tillman County, a male in the 65 and older age group.

There are 278 total deaths in the state.

Regional COVID-19 testing sites are open in multiple cities in Oklahoma as a result of a cross-country, city and state health system partnership. Visit the “Testing Sites” tab on the OSDH website for updated dates and locations.
