ODWC Commissioner Attends Paul George Fishing Dock Ceremony

Posted in:

Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) Commissioner Leigh Gaddis participated in the recent ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the Paul George Fishing Dock in South Lakes Park in Oklahoma City.

Gaddis, along with other ODWC officials, was on hand to celebrate the completion of a project the Paul George Foundation started with the ODWC back in 2017, while the six-time NBA All-Star played basketball with the OKC Thunder.

George, who now plays basketball with the Los Angeles Clippers, celebrated the event with children who participate in the OK Fishing in the Schools (OKF ITS) program. The program was created by the ODWC in 2011, and in 2017 the Paul George Foundation began sponsoring the program in 13 OKC district schools.

“It was an honor to participate in this wonderful celebration of the new Paul George Fishing Dock, along with my colleagues at the ODWC,” Gaddis said. “While Paul George is no longer here in Oklahoma, his contributions remain with us.”

As ODWC Commissioner for District 4, Gaddis represents: Creek, Lincoln, Okfuskee, Seminole, Pottawatomie, Pontotoc, Hughes, Johnson and Coal counties.

Leigh Gaddis and her husband, Roger Gaddis, are the co-founders of Gaddis & Gaddis Wealth Management, headquartered in Ada with offices in Ardmore, Durant and McAlester.
