David W. Narcomey has announced his candidacy for General Council Representative of the Fushutche Band of the Seminole Nation. His submitted press release appears below.
Hensci. I am David W. Narcomey, Son of William (Bill) Narcomey and Dorothy Narcomey, and band member of the Fushutche Band of the Seminole Nation. Father of two successful Daughters, married to my college sweetheart for 48 years.
I am announcing my candidacy as a perspective candidate for General Council Representative of the Fushutche Band of the Seminole Nation. I have served previously on the Seminole Nations General Council from 2004 to 2017. Served on the Seminole Nation’s Finance Committee from 2009 to 2017, serving as Chairperson the last 4 years (2013 to 2017).
I have had approx. greater than 70% of sponsored resolutions passed by the General Council during my tenure as General Council representative. My qualifications are as follows: I am a decorated Retired Navy Officer, decorated with Navy commendations on organizational abilities, served as medical support for the USMC and other operational teams around the world. Have owned and operated private business, and a retired RN with over 40 years of experience. Have worked several decades as volunteer for Indigenous organizations, serving indigenous communities throughout the Southeastern United States.
I am currently a practicing Private investigator certified through the Criminal Law Enforcement and Education Training department of Oklahoma. My hope is to serve for the betterment of the Nation, its citizens, and local communities. We must work to develop strong communication between the executive department and the General council and being transparent to the citizens of the Seminole Nation.
I will stand up for the people, and work to eliminate nepotism, corruption, mismanagement, expose the wrongs for what they are and work to correct them. As leaders, we must lead by example, keep an open mind, look for all options to allow the Nation to grow economically, and politically. I hope to be the General Council member that the people would want me to be.
For the Seminole Nation, our needs and desires for success, economically, politically, educationally, and socially are great. With good leadership, we can seek positive direction to the road of success.
