Posted in:

Two people with local ties were shot to death in Del City over the weekend.

Wewoka native Lakota Leetka, 27, and Aussie Paschal, 42, who grew up in Holdenville, were the victims of an alleged murder that occurred Saturday night.

Del City Police reportedly received a call at around 11:30 Saturday night about shots being fired and people screaming in the 4700 block of Southeast 22nd Street, near Southeast 15th Street and Vickie Drive. Officers arrived and found that a man and a woman had been shot.

Police said the female victim, identified as Leetka, had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim, identified as Paschal, had been shot in the chest and later died at a hospital.

According to police, Leetka and the suspect, identified as Devonta Williams, were dating. The two began arguing and Leetka called Paschal, her uncle, to come get her. The argument escalated once Paschal arrived which resulted the shooting.

Family members said Williams “went berserk” when Paschal pulled into the driveway and pulled out a gun

Williams was arrested at the scene on complaints of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.

Leetka was born Oct. 20, 1994 in Ada to parents Robert James Leetka and Rebecca Jo (Paschal) Fixico and grew up in Wewoka. She worked as a cashier at Dollar General and was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. Her funeral services were held Tuesday at Middle Creek #2 Church, near Holdenville.

Paschal was born on Feb. 2, 1979 in Ponca City to Robert William Paschal and LaHunta (Larney) Paschal. He grew up in Holdenville and married Trista Williamson on July 27, 2012 in Oklahoma City. His funeral services were also held Tuesday at Middle Creek #2 Church.
