Local College Golf Players Qualify for Championship
The Seminole State College Men’s and Women’s Golf teams have several players qualify for the National Championship Tournament.
The SSC Women’s golf team have three ladies competing in the National Championship at the Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club in Ormond Beach, Florida Monday through Thursday.
The Lady Trojans representing Seminole State are:
Maile Glaser, Brianne Lee and McKenzie Nunley of Wewoka.
The ladies tipped off at 1 p.m. Monday afternoon.
After first day of the Tournament, Maile Glaser was tied for 82 nd with +31, Brianne Lee was T88 with +35 and McKenzie Nunley was T104 with +49.
The Seminole State men’s golf team qualified for the National Championship to be played at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indianna on May 18-21.
The Trojans representing Seminole State are: Grant Murphy, Jaxon Northcutt, Blaine Simpson, Dalton Criner and Evan Stafford of Wewoka.
Both tournaments are a 72-hole tournament over four days. Russell Beene is the Head Coach for both the men and women golf teams.
