Posted in:

Leadership Oklahoma is excited to announce the hiring of Ms. Tabitha Narvaiz as Program Director for Members and Youth. In her role, Ms. Narvaiz will work to engage Leadership Oklahoma members through networking events and continuing education, while promoting pride and a commitment to service among high school students throughout the state.

Ms. Narvaiz joins Leadership Oklahoma with over a decade of experience in developing and executing events and strategic outreach plans on the regional, state, and local levels. She has extensive experience in cultivating relationships with diverse stakeholders to build partnerships that accomplish a common goal. After spending 10 years in Washington D.C. as a congressional staff member and lobbyist, Tabitha returned to Oklahoma in 2015 to pursue her passion for serving her home state. Most recently, Ms. Narvaiz served as the executive director of the local nonprofit Sharing Tree.

“We are excited to welcome Ms. Narvaiz to the Leadership Oklahoma team,” said Dr. Marion Paden, President and CEO of Leadership Oklahoma.

“Combined with her passion for service to the state of Oklahoma, Ms. Narvaiz brings experience that will enhance our programs and further our mission.”

“It is a privilege to join Leadership Oklahoma and work alongside our diverse members to celebrate Oklahoma’s successes and face its challenges,” said Ms. Narvaiz. “With deep roots in this great state, I feel a responsibility to use my unique experience and skills to impact change. What better way to do that than with a group of driven leaders dedicated to working together to inspire growth and success.”

Tabitha spends her free time with her husband, two sons, and two dogs, is a member of the Junior League of Oklahoma City, a graduate of Leadership Moore and TEAM South, and bleeds America’s Brightest Orange as a graduate of Oklahoma State University.

About Leadership Oklahoma

Thirty-five years ago, our founders realized the need for a statewide organization dedicated to the development of informed leaders. They established Leadership Oklahoma with the vision of bringing leaders from around Oklahoma together and expanding their knowledge about critical issues in our state. Since the first program was launched in 1986, nearly 1700 adult class program participants from 190 communities and almost 1100 youth class members from 254 high schools have explored Oklahoma’s most pressing issues.

Today, there are Leadership Oklahoma members in every part of the state. They represent a diverse range of industries, communities, cultures, leadership roles, individual perspectives, and personal experiences. Rather than focusing on their differences, program graduates share a desire to improve the quality of life in our state. By connecting leaders and expanding their knowledge of Oklahoma’s key issues, participants leave our programs passionate about inspiring change and committed to making a difference in the future of our state. In addition, the personal and professional relationships fostered in program sessions lay the groundwork for lasting partnerships and collaboration across communities and individuals statewide.
