Kenneth Wayne Culberson Sr. of Norman, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Norman.

Kenneth, the son of James Culberson and Lillian Gibson, was born December 4, 1954, in Ada. Kenneth grew up and attended school in Wewoka. He married Stella Camp, June 10, 2002, in Connerville. Kenneth enjoyed painting and carving wood. He also liked to fish and go camping, making walking sticks and Indian clocks, and pipes, and he liked to fix things and to garden. Kenneth helped raise his grandchildren. He enjoyed going to the diamond mines in Arkansas and digging for diamonds. On a trip to Florida, Kenneth went to the beach looking for seashells, he thought that he had found a big one, it turned out to be an upside-down peel of an orange.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Culberson; a brother, James Wisdom; sister, Terry William; and his step-father, Joe Harrison.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Stella, of the home; son, Kenneth W Culberson Jr., of Ada, Lorenzo Culberson of Norman, and stepson, Stanley Crapo Jr., of Norman; daughter, Lola Culberson of Ada and stepdaughter, Wendy Rangel of Norman; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Bennie and Judy Culberson of Wewoka; along with several other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service will be Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2:00 P.M., at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole with Thomas Little officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
