The landscape along Timmons Street in Seminole is changing, as an addition to the Betty L. Smith Early Childhood Center is underway. The new building, Phase Three of the BLS project, is a 6,742 sq. ft. cafeteria/multi-purpose room. Phase Two, the addition of more classroom space, was completed in 2000.
According to school officials, the additional space will allow meals to be prepared on site. The new room will also be used for meetings and a place for students to go during inclement weather.
