Free Covid Vaccines Offered at Library’s ‘FUNd Fest’ Tonight

Posted in:

Free COVID-19 vaccinations will be available at this evening’s “FUNd Fest,” a fundraising event for the Seminole Public Library.

The Seminole County Health Department will have its mobile health unit on hand from 5 – 7 p.m. and will administer the vaccine at no charge to anyone over the age of 12. A parent or guardian must be present and give consent for those under 18.

FUNdFest includes a concert and laser show by local rock group Ever Fade, food trucks, raffles and a silent auction. The concert will get underway at 7 p.m. in the Shark Park, located at 125 N. Second Street in Seminole (just behind Exotic Meds on Broadway). The silent auction will be ready at 5 p.m., so patrons can place bids on items before the show begins. Food trucks will begin serving at 5 p.m. as well.

“If you come out early, you can place your bids and get your food before the music starts,” said Library Director Jeannette Kennedy. “All of the money raised tonight will help purchase books, programs and other necessities for the library.”

Everfade plays a variety of rock covers and original tunes. The band’s lineup consists of Richard Jasna (bass/vocals), Shane Loudon (drums/vocals), Susan Buck Sneed (key-boards/vocals) and Floyd Snider, Jr. (guitar/vocals).

General admission tickets are available at the library and will also be sold at the gate. Those purchasing general admission tickets must provide their own chairs.
