COVID Vaccination Event Next Tuesday at FBC Bridge
The Wewoka Indian Health Center COVID Vaccine Team is planning a vaccine outreach next week in Seminole.
The team will administer the Moderna vaccine on Tuesday, April 20 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at “The Bridge,” located at First Baptist Church, 420 Reid Street in Seminole. The vaccine is available to anyone over the age of 18, and patients must present a valid driver’s license and social security card to receive it.
Officials with the Indian Health Center said appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be welcome. Call (405) 257-7520 to make an appointment.
Lewis Johnson, Assistant Chief for the Seminole Nation, said the vaccination hours would be extended according to demand. “Remember this vaccine is available for all the public everyone 18 years of age and older,” Johnson added.
Tell the vaccination provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you have any allergies, a fever, a bleeding disorder or are on a blood thinner, are immunocompromised or are on a medicine that affects your immune system, are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or if you have received another COVID-19 vaccine.
Please note that you should not get the Moderna vaccine if you had a severe allergic reaction after a previous dose of this vaccine or had a severe allergic reaction to any ingredient of this vaccine. If you receive one dose of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, you should receive a second dose of the same vaccine one month later to complete the vaccination series.
