City Council Meeting Slated To Meet Tues.

The Seminole City Council and its related authorities will convene for regular monthly meetings next Tuesday, March 14.

Agenda items include a request to approve a resolution “authorizing and approving the incurring of indebtedness by the Trustees of the Seminole Economic Development Council to be accomplished by the issuance of tax increment revenue bonds, bonds, notes or other evidences of indebtedness in one or more series on a tax-exempt or taxable basis, at a premium or discount, in the aggregate principal par amount of not to exceed Fifty Three Million Dollars ($53,000,000) to provide funds required to complete the acquisition, construction, equipping and improving of public infrastructure within Increment District No. 2, City of Seminole, Oklahoma, and financing development incentives related thereto; establish a reserve fund, if any, capitalize interest and pay costs of issuance and all matters related thereto, including but not limited to the waiver of competitive bidding thereof; and declaring an emergency.”

The Council will also entertain a proposal to approve Ordinance 1286, which amends the aesthetic requirements for commercial buildings along Highways 377 and 9, as well as throughout the downtown district.
