Charges Filed For Alleged Child Sex Crimes
A Seminole man has been charged with multiple felony charges related to allegations of sexual acts involving a child “on or between the 1st day of January 2017 and the 31st day of January 2021.”
Felony information filed in this case states that Dalton Paul Harkey, 33 is charged with: Count 1: Forcible Sodomy, engaging in (a sexual act) when the victim was not capable of giving legal consent because the child is under the age of 16.
Count 2: Lewd or Indecent Acts to Child Under 16, knowingly and intentionally looking upon the private parts of (victim) against public decency and morality and forcing (victim) to watch pornographic material.
County 3: Lewd and Indecent Acts to Child Under 16, touching (victim) in a lewd and lascivious manner.
Count 4: Lewd or Indecent Acts to Child Under 16, knowingly and intentionally looking upon the private parts of (victim) in a lewd and lascivious manner by acts against public decency and morality by installing a camera in the bathroom to watch (victim) take a shower when victim was 11 years old and Dalton Paul Harkey was 32.
According to the affidavit filed in this case, Harkey would allegedly record these incidents on his cell phone. The victim stated Harkey would tell her they could make money with the videos, the affidavit states.
During an interview, Harkey denied the allegations. He allegedly admitted having a problem with pornography and would watch it every day, according to the affidavit.
According to court records, Harkey made his initial court appearance on Feb. 17 and a bond hearing was scheduled for Feb. 22. He is set to reappear in court on March 2 for a status conference.
