Body of Missing Woman Found Near Her Home
The body of Ruth Louie, who went missing more than a month ago, was reportedly discovered near her home by a family member.
Few details have been released as to when the discovery was made, but according to a news report, her nephew, Myron Manuel Louie, found her partially decomposed body lying in some bushes on her property.
Louie, 82, was last seen on the afternoon of Feb. 4 in the Twin Bridges area of Highway 270 near New Lima. She was seen getting into a white Nissan Altima. Investigators questioned the driver of the vehicle, but he was cleared.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert for Louie on Feb. 6 and requested the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) with locating her.
Searchers combed the area New Lima and Wewoka area for weeks, using drones and a K-9 team in an effort to find her, which turned out to be futile.
Anyone with information on the case is urged to call the OSBI at (800) 522-8017. Anonymous tips may be provided via email at tips. osbi.ok.gov.
