Alumni Association Launches Pledge Drive For Sign in Front of Seminole High School

Posted in:

The Seminole Alumni Association is conducting a pledge campaign to raise funds for a sign, hopefully a digital one, in front of the newly built high school on Highway 9.

According to Alumni Association President Kari Bryan, the sign is estimated to cost between $25,000 and $75,000, depending on the design and specifications.

“If we raise $25,000, the sign would be a simple brick sign. However, depending upon the response to the campaign, the association has several options that differ in size, quality, design, and cost to choose from, including a digital sign, which would be on the upper end of the spectrum,” Bryan said. (See the photo at right for an example of a potential design).

Bryan acknowledged that this campaign will be a test of the association’s fund-raising ability in the midst of a health crisis.

“It is well known that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the lives of individuals and families, including our own alumni,” Bryan said. “This pledge campaign is the first step for the association in evaluating our present ability, post pandemic, to raise money to participate and complete projects of this magnitude.”

If you are interested in contributing to this project, contact Bryan at (405) 380-2563. The Association’s mailing address is PO Box 2075, Seminole, Oklahoma, 74818. Bryan noted that while other contributions for scholarships and other projects are accepted, please indicate the amount you are willing to pledge toward the sign.
