Ada Man Arrested After Allegedly Threating to Kill Woman With Gun
An Ada man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly threatened to kill a Seminole County woman in late February.
Bobby Wayne Lena, 52, was arrested on Feb. 20 after a Seminole County Deputy responded to reports of a disturbance in progress at a home on NS 3540 Road.
According to an affidavit, Deputy Robert Hill arrived at the residence and made contact with two men, who told him that Lena was intoxicated and had just fled the scene in a gray Nissan Titan. The men also said Lena was possibly armed with a .22 and had just threatened two women who were inside the house.
Hill left the scene and began to patrol the area and when he was approximately two miles away, dispatch advised him that Lena had returned and was again threatening the homeowners.
When Hill returned to the residence, he was advised that Lena had again fled, so he turned his attention to the two victims. One of them told him that Lena was intoxicated and “angry” when he arrived at the house, and that he had threatened to kill her with a gun.
Hill said he went looking for Lena again and saw a gray Nissan truck headed toward him at “a high rate of speed.” Hill said he pulled over to the side of the road and the Nissan nearly sideswiped him when it passed by.
According to the affidavit, Hill pulled the truck over and Lena was staggering as he exited it. Hill asked Lena how much he had been drinking, and he allegedly replied, “Enough! But you can give me a shot of vodka and just let me go!”
Hill said he could smell the “heavy odor” of alcohol in Lena’s vehicle and found a still cool, partially consumed beer can in the front seat cup holder and another one wedged between the passenger seat and center console.
Hill also found a loaded .22 long rifle wedged between the passenger front seat and the center console of Lena’s vehicle. Hill said he found several more beer cans in the truck, one of them still cool to the touch and within Lena’s reach.
Hill said he read the “implied consent” card to Lena and asked him if he would take a field test. When Lena refused, he was transported to the Seminole County Jail.
Lena stands charged with possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction, driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and threatening to perform an act of violence.
