From the Files of The Seminole Producer

Posted in:

May 12, 1935

Since The Producer put out its first screaming headlines in the mud-spattered city of Seminole, eight long years ago, there has been a box in the front office which has continually been filling with junk. It isn’t exactly junk, but lost articles from tooth brushes to car trumpets. Most of the articles have been advertised with no callers. There must be quite a few folks locked out of their houses and going around the streets half blind, if the number of keys and spectacles are an indicator. There are seven sets of spectacles, one good pair, and the rest of the fit-yourself variety. There are 382 keys that would fit anything from a small lock on a dog collar to the city bastile. One of the keys is for the Frank Hotel. There are a couple of wallets, empty. One belonged to Tom Taber, it was found in 1928 and the other to R. O Wanner. There are four ladies’ gloves; none of which match. Three of the gloves are good ones. A fifth glove is made out of leather about an inch thick and must have been worn by a steel worker. A very fancy ear trumpet is the classiest item in the collection. If you’ve missed anything, frying pan, necktie, sweepstakes ticket, just call at The Producer and if you can outguess us in identifying any of the articles, they are yours.
