Billie McDaniel was initiated by Marie Harber Assembly order of the Rainbow at the regular meeting Juanita French, Rhie Kever, Frances Wozencraft and Virginia Graves were selected to put on the exemplification of the examination of a visitor at the school of instruction.
Mrs. C.L. Prather, Mrs. W.H. Prather, Mrs. Laura Beakey and Mrs. R. C. Lindsay were additional guests at the meeting of the Kilarney Hills Club in the home of Mrs. B. A. Lindsay. Members were Mrs. Will Caffey, Mrs. Charles Fazel, Mrs. R.B. Caldwall, Mrs. Bob Caffey, Mrs. Clara Dunham, Mrs. W.T. Pfeifer, Mrs. Bill Andrews and Mrs. FlorenMrs. C.L. Prather, Mrce Shields.
Mr. and Mrs. Casey Jones were the only guests when Mr. and Mrs. L.F. Pyle entertained the Semi-Nee bridge Club. High score winners were Mrs. John Dorris and C.C. Gregory. Other members included Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Rasure and Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Washington.
Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Edwards and daughter Miss Ruth Edwards, motored to Tulsa Saturday to attend the wedding of their son, Jerome Oliver Edwards, and Miss Winifred Goddard.
Mrs. Chester P. Ellis gave a very interesting discussion of roses and how to grow them when the Chrysanthemum Unit of the Garden Club met in the home of Mrs. George Norvell. Mrs. Chester Gates talked on gladiolises.
Miss Edna Earle Whitson, student at Oklahoma College of Women in Chickasha, is spending the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Whitson, Carter camp. Her brother, C.C., drove to Chickasha and returned with her on Friday.
A wedding of paramount social interest because of the prominence of the groom’s family in pioneer circles of this city was that of Miss Winifred Abbott Goddard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Goddard of Tulsa, and J.O. Edwards, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Edwards, which was celebrated at high noon on March 16 in the home of the bride’s parents.
The vows were exchanged before an altar of improvised palms, ferns, white wicker flood baskets filled with snapdragons and cathedral tapers. Seminole guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Vinson, Dr. and Mrs. W.E. Grisso, Miss Ruth Edwards, Dudley Culp and Bud Foster.
