Special services tonight at Hebrew center will be in observance of the Second Day of the Jewish New Year and on Wednesday, September 29, the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, will be observed... Friends reporting that Mrs. Stella Perry, pioneer community resident, is much improved in Seminole Municipal hospital but visitors are limited to family members because Mrs. Perry loves to talk and this tires her a lot...

Rabbi Wayne Dosick who is serving the Seminole Synagogue during the current High Holy Day services, will be the Rotary club speaker Wednesday noon in Harvest House, Raymond Sowers, president of Rotary announced today.

Rabbi Dosick received his B.A. degree from University of Cincinnati and is currently studying at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati.

Last year Dosick and his wife, Lauren, studied a year in Israel. The speaker will tell Rotarians some of his experiences while studying in Israel.

Unit 1of WeBeLos in Cub Scout Pack No. 439 met Friday with leaders, Mr. Warren Schroeder and Mr. Bob Robertson. Denner is Kirk Merrell and his assistant, Rob Robertson.

Boys rehearsed their skit for the upcoming pack meeting. Timmy Drake, Kirk Merrell, Wes Franklin and Rob Robertson earned their citizen awards and Steve Phillips and Fred Schroeder, engineering awards.

Seminole’s third ranked Chieftains and the toprated Pauls Valley Panthers battled to a 13-13 tie last week and Monday the new prep grid standings were released placing both teams in different slots.

In the Daily Oklahoman’s ratings the Chieftains stayed in fourth place, where they were last week, however, the Panthers fell from first place to second with Stigler taking over No. 1. Third in the Oklahoman’s is

The Tulsa Daily World had Seminole ranked third last week in Class AA and this week the Chieftains have moved up to the second place slot. Pauls Valley was on top last week in the World’s standings and they remained in their No. 1 position this week.
