All boys whose ages range from 8-10 years or at least are in the third grade and who want to join the Cub Scouts are asked to be at First Presbyterian church Thursday evening. The meeting is called for 7 p.m.

Cards were distributed Tuesday afternoon in all city schools for prospects to take home and have them filled out to bring to the meeting, Cubmaster Ted Phillips announced. A member or prospect must be accompanied by at least one parent and preferably both parents.

Lions club District Governor, Gerald Goodner of Tishomingo was a guest speaker for the Tuesday noon club luncheon at Harvest House. Highlight of the program

Highlight of the program was the presentation by Mr. Goodner of appreciation certificates to Frank Willis, for 28 years’ perfect attendance and to john Marshall for 16 years’ perfect attendance.

The Seminole Chieftains held a hot, but spirited two hour practice Tuesday afternoon working on defense Coach Jim Webb said.

“It was the hottest day of practice we’ve had, but I feel that this really helped us on conditioning,” the Seminole coach added.

The Chiefs are working getting ready for their season football opener with Cushing this coming Friday night at Chieftain field. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m.
