Seminole’s high school cheerleaders for the 1971- 72 school year attended the Thunderhawk Cheerleading Camp at Oklahoma University, Norman, last week and proved to be the best squad of 100 present.
The SHS girls, under the direction of head cheerleader, Ann Parks, placed first in all competition events and won the camp’s highly sought-after Coca Cola Championship Award and Thunderhawk Camp Spirit Stick.
Other members of the squad are Debbie Downing, Kim Massay, Vickie Neel, Pam Craig, and Mona Cross.
Scattered thundershowers are possible in parts of Oklahoma through Saturday and cooler temperatures are expected by Thursday, the weather bureau said today.
