Barbara Gillespie asking her brother about a ‘beige colored’ cow which she had rounded up early today along with blacks, browns, and white face…Representative David Boren calling today to say that the legislature had approved a bill calling on the state regents to fund all community junior colleges at 75 percent of state colleges this coming year and at 100 percent in 1973…It now goes to the governor for signature… He said that he expected the house and senate to adjourn late today…

House backers of a federal amendment to grant full voting rights to 18-year-olds failed Thursday in another attempt to get the measure to the house floor for an open vote.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday police were called to the In and Out Package Store owned by Jack White at 613 West Strothers to investigate a reported till-tapping incident.

The end is not in sight for Oklahoma’s siege of storm weather, forecasters said today.

The weather bureau said the showers and thunderstorms scattered over the state today would continue through Sunday in some sections, and a fresh batch probably would move in about Tuesday.

New Lima bombed Earlsboro Lions Thursday night 15-5 in a four inning Senior Peewee League game at Legion Diamond No. 2. New Lima is undefeated with 5-wins and no-losses.

Randy Hill was the winning pitcher while Permetter was the loser.

Tim Knapp got the best hit of the game for New Lima, a triple. Dee Henson hit New Lima a double.
