William J. Sutton of Rochelle, Illinois, has been employed to teach in the Business Department of Seminole Junior College next fall it was announced by Junior College President Elmer Tanner Saturday. Sutton will teach business and economics.

The 1971 Miss Oklahoma Pageant will be staged June 10, 11, and 12 at the Tulsa Civic Center. Linda Branscum of Konawa, Miss Seminole 1971, will compete in the pageant.

In addition to the reigning Miss Oklahoma, Judy Adams, other special guests of the pageant will be Jane Jayroe, Miss America 1967; Mikey Wood, former Miss Tulsa; Gay Spencer, jazz singer; Vic Dana, Columbia recording star; and singer B.J. Thomas.

The theme of the show will be simply “NOW” and will present very new music in a variety of styles.

A rock was thrown through a glass window at the Enco Service Station, 700 North Milt Phillips Avenue, between 10:00 p.m. Friday and 6:00 a.m. Saturday city police reported.

Damage was estimated at $75. Steve Hudgins, manager of the station, reported the vandalism to police Saturday morning.

Women are beginning to develop a type of baldness which bears a resemblance to the so-called “pattern baldness” considered normal in mature men, according to Dr. Irwin I. Lubowe, who is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at New York Medical College.

This past week a jury term of the Wewoka Division Court was held to try a number of felony cases pending on the criminal docket. Twenty-five cases were set for jury trial. Only two were tried by jury, and other disposition was made of the remaining 23 cases.

A new score was set Friday night in both the bull riding and the bronc riding to highlight action in the second performance of the three-night 34th Annual Seminole IRA Championship Rodeo which began Thursday night at the Seminole Rodeo grounds.

The annual Moss high school alumni banquet will be held July 3 at 8 p.m. in the school gym, Howard Upchurch of Seminole, president of the group, announced Saturday.
