I. W. Cook of 1831 Frank Lynn street reported to police Monday the theft of a tire and wheel from his pickup truck Sunday night while it was parked in front of his home. The tire was a 7.75 x 15 tubeless, and was mounted on a red colored wheel.
W. L. Wantland of the Wantland Oil Reclaiming Co., 615 West Osage, reported to police that windshields along with the rear glass in cabs on two trucks belonging to the firm were broken out this past weekend. The trucks were parked in a parking of the firm at the Osage street address. One of the trucks was a 1951 model and the other a 1959 model. Wantland estimated the damages at $200.

Airman James A. Parks has ended basic training at Lackland Air Force base in Texas. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Parks, route three, city. Airman Parks has been assigned to Lowry AFB in Colorado for training in munitions and maintenance. A 1970 graduate of Strother high school, the young airman attended Seminole Junior College before entering the service.
Damages only resulted in the collision of two vehicles at the North Main and East Evans intersection this past weekend. One vehicle was a pickup driven by Donald Brooks of 1327 Roosevelt, Seminole, and the other was a car driven by Fred C. Cantwell of 805 East 22 nd , Ada. The damage to each vehicle was estimated at $250.
The Seminole County Bar Association will observe Law Day on Friday, April 23, with a luncheon meeting at the Harvest House restaurant in Seminole at noon, Larry L. French, secretary-treasurer, announced today.
French said that the election of officers for the 1971-72 fiscal year would be the main item on the meeting agenda. He also said that collection of dues for the year, $5., also would be made. Each member attending will pay for his own meal, French added.
Mrs. C.E. Schultz welcomed members of Seminole branch, American Association of University Women, to her home for a program on “Use of Drugs in Our Community.” Associate District Judge Frank Howell Seay was guest speaker.
Mrs. JoDean Brown, program chairman, introcuced the speaker. Judge Seay pointed out that, “We do have a drug problem in our county. It is a serious problem. Some of the questions Judge Seay posed were: “What is causing the problem? What is the reason for turning to drugs? Are they just using light drugs or are they moving to the harder types such as LSD? How many are using drugs? Do we educate, prosecute, or ignore the problem?
“We do not have enough knowledge about drugs. We must not panic and we must realize that this is a community problem and a proper educational program should be presented.”
