Seminole county 4-H students were in session in Wewoka Civic Center this morning and this afternoon will visit pastures across the country in the annual pasture judging contests, Dan Morton, assistant extension agent for the county announced today. Morton said about 50 students from the 4-H clubs across the county is participating.
Mrs. Quimby Wilson entertained Sunday afternoon in her home at a reception to introduce her future daughter-in-law, Miss Lynnette Stowe of Altus, to friends in Seminole. In the receiving line to welcome guests were Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Stowe and Miss Stowe’s mother, Mrs. Frances Wilson Stowe, also of Altus.
Miss Stowe and her fiancé, Mr. Sidney Wilson will be married Sunday May 23, in a home wedding in Altus.

The Seminole high Chieftain golf squad won the first Five-Star Conference match for the 1971 season here on the Seminole Municipal Golf Links Tuesday afternoon. The SHS Linksmen in medalist play fired to a 323 total score which was 30 strokes under the nearest contender Wewoka, with 353.
Coach Boyd Linduff and his Chieftain golfers stand with a season record to 2-1 to date.
Terry DeVore shot a front nine 38 and a back nine 38 to card a 76 score and a medalist honor for the meet. DeVore has been the medalist for Seminole in the last two matches.
This past weekend, seven members of Seminole chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma teachers’ society, were in Stillwater to attend the state convention on the Oklahoma State university campus. Convention theme was “Take Time to Live.”
The 5 th Annual National Indian Bowling Tournament was held at Harvard Lanes in Tulsa this past weekend. A Seminole team the “Coker Sisters” won a second place honor in the tournament. Also Seminole was represented well in the singles competition.
“Coker Sisters” won a second place in the Class B doubles event for women when they posted a score of 2988. Harris Plumbing of Tulsa was first in that event with a 3003 score.
Shirley Henneha, a member of the Seminole team, won first place in the Class B singles event. She scored a pin-fall of 652 to win the honor. Placing second in the event was Hawkins of Tulsa with a 629 and two Seminole women fired back to take the third and fourth place honors.
Mrs. JoDean Brown was program leader when American Association of Uni versity Women, Seminole branch, convened recently in the home of Mrs. R.L. Council. Assistant hostesses were Mrs. Ralph Clarkson, Mrs. Pete Duncan and Mrs. Nathylee Whitley. Guests introduced were Mrs. Frank Bowers of Bowlegs and Mrs. Ron Webb.
