A worker for the City of Seminole places flags on the graves of veterans in Maple Grove Cemetery on Friday. A special Memorial Day service will be held on Monday, May 26 beginning at 10 a.m. in the historic O.D. Strother Chapel. Brigadier General Brad Carter will be the guest speaker and the Joy Bells, the handbell choir from First United Methodist Church in Seminole, are slated to perform under the direction of Sandy Peters. Carl Odom, American Legion Post 204 Commander, is scheduled to lead the pledge of Allegiance and refreshments will be served.
