Two Indicted in Marijuana Grow Operation Robberies

A multi-county grand jury indicted two men Thursday in connection with two marijuana grow facility robberies, one of them in Seminole.

According to a news release from Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s office, Marquethz Latrale Lee, 27, faces nine felony counts stemming from the July 26 robbery of Redbud Relief Farms in Chandler and the Aug. 14 attempted robbery of ZMAT LLC in Seminole.

Tauriawn Latrelle Knight, 25, faces five felonies in relation to the robbery and burglary at Redbud Relief Farms.

Drummond praised the work of his Organized Crime Task Force and its partner agencies for their ongoing work to fight organized criminal activity across the state.

“My office is committed to rooting out dangerous criminal activity and protecting public safety,” Drummond said. “These two individuals will face the full force of the law.”

Lee and Knight are charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, first-degree robbery, first- and second-degree burglary and assault while masked. The two allegedly broke into the residence and marijuana grow buildings at Redbud Relief Farms, assaulting the occupants and demanding money. They are accused of stealing marijuana, cash, credit cards and a Ford F-150 truck before fleeing the crime.

Lee also is charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, firstand second-degree burglary and engaging in a pattern of criminal offenses after allegedly attempting to rob two individuals at ZMAT LLC with the intent of stealing marijuana.

On Aug. 14, 2024 Seminole County deputies responded to reports of a burglary in progress at ZMAT in which gunfire was exchanged. The suspects fled the scene, but later a male, eventually identified as Lee, was at the Little Grocery Store at Highways 99 and 99A, requesting an ambulance for a gunshot wound. Investigators later learned that Lee was at the OU Trauma Center in Oklahoma City seeking medical treatment for the laceration to his chin. Oklahoma City Police detained Lee, who was then arrested by local authorities and booked into the Seminole County Jail on a $1 million bond.

After multiple court appearances, Drummond’s office filed documents with the Seminole County Court indicating that they would be stepping in on the case.
