Strother Fire Dept. Receives CVEC Grant
Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC), in partnership with its lending partner CoBank, has awarded a total of $15,000 in grants to three local nonprofit organizations, including one in Seminole County.
According to a news release, the Strother Fire Department was among the three grantees. The Eufaula Police Department and the Prague Haynie Library also received grants.
The Sharing Success program was launched by CoBank in 2012 to enhance the impact of co-ops and the non-profits they aid. By matching CVEC’s charitable contributions, the program strengthens local communities. Since its inception, CoBank and its customers have contributed over $76 million to support non-profit organizations nationwide.
