Strother Fire Chief Arrested In Pott. County

The chief of a local volunteer fire department has been arrested on charges relating to personal misconduct.
According to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, Strother Fire Chief Ryan Lehman was arrested Thursday, Sept. 11 on anticipated charges of violation of the computer crimes act and engaging in prostitution, lewdness or assignation. At press time, formal charges had not been filed, but records indicate he made a court appearance Friday morning.
Full details of Lehman’s arrest were unavailable at press time, but his mugshot and a list of charges were published to the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center’s website and was still visible early Friday afternoon. The Producer reached out to the Pottawatomie County District Attorney’s office for comment, but our call had not been returned by press time.
The Strother Fire Department is located on Highway 99A near Little and is comprised of about 20 volunteer firefighters.
