The 2025 edition of Seminole Nation Days, an annual cultural festival held at the Mekusukey Mission, will kick off later this week with a plethora of activities.

The annual baby pageant was held over the weekend and elder games and activities began Monday, Sept. 15. The festival enters full swing mode this Friday, Sept. 19 with a golf tournament. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and tee-off is set for 9 a.m.

Carnival rides open up at 5 p.m. Friday and a co-ed softball game will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a stomp dance at 7.

Those who enjoy running are invited to participate in the 5K run. A one-mile walk is also on the schedule. Registration for both events will start bright and early Saturday morning at 7. The annual parade will begin at 10 a.m. followed by more activities, including the state of the nation address, a cornhole tournament, live music and a fireworks show. Entertainers include Lance Gouge and the Chebon Tiger Band. Event maps will be posted at the Mekusukey Mission.

Activities slated for Sunday, Sept. 21 include a fishing derby, car show, MVSKOKE hymn singing, church services, and an archery tournament. The celebration will conclude Sunday with the annual pow wow (2 p.m.) and the grand entry at 7 p.m.
