Seminole City Council to Meet Tonight; Several Items Added to Meeting Agenda

Several addendums have been added to the agenda of the Tuesday, March 11 Seminole City Council meeting that was published in our weekend edition.

Monday morning, the following agenda items were added: - Mayoral presentation proclaiming March 2025 as Seminole Storm Spotter Month.

- Mayoral presentation proclaiming April 2025 as Autism Acceptance Month.

- Consideration and possible action to approve the lease agreement with the Seminole State College Educational Foundation for the use of the baseball fields located at 2803 Highway 9 West for $16,000, effective from March 31 through June 21, 2025.

- Discussion and possible action regarding creating a Parks and Recreation Authority or similar board within the City of Seminole.

- Discussion and possible action regarding possible funding sources to meet long term debt requirements associated with construction of the new wastewater treatment plant.

Tonight’s council meeting, which includes meetings of the Seminole Municipal, Gas and Airport Authorities, will get underway at 7 p.m. in the Goldie Barnett Conference Room. All council meetings are open to the public.

Any person requesting to address the City Council needs to sign up prior to the meeting and provide their name, address and Ward number. Each person will be allowed no more than five minutes to present their remarks. All communication shall be addressed to the mayor or presiding official.
