New Monthly Market to Debut in Seminole June 13
Once a month, beginning in less than two weeks, the grounds of Seminole’s Reynolds Wellness Center will transform into a community market featuring handmade wares, homegrown produce and even live entertainment from local artists.
The 405 Sunset Market is set to make its debut at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 13.
“Our mission is to cultivate community interaction and shine a light on the incredible resources and talent in our local area. Each monthly market will offer a unique opportunity to engage with neighbors and build relationships that last beyond sunset,” said Brandi Wells, one of the organizers behind the market.
According to Wells, the 405 Sunset Market team will use revenue from vendor booth rentals to pay for advertising and market expenses, and at the end of the market season, remaining funds will be used to directly support Seminole Community Garden projects.
“We hope these initiatives, over time, will help feed families, educate our community and beautify our shared spaces,” Wells said. “We are utilizing this space to bring vendors, small local businesses, to the community. We are also reaching out to the nonprofits in Seminole County to try and bridge the gap between a community not knowing about them or the services they may provide, as well as cultivating a network of organizations to start working synergistically.”
The Reynolds Wellness Center is located at 1001 E. Strother Avenue, just west of Harvey Road. Follow the 405 Sunset Market on Facebook.
