Maud School District Sets $500,000 Bond Election For April 7
Maud Public Schools has set a $500,000 bond election for Tuesday, April 7.
According to the district’s website, there are two propositions on the ballot, as detailed below.
Proposition No. 1: $385,000 Building Bonds Acquire and install HVAC equipment; acquire and install Promethean boards; acquire and install a new hallway video board; Repair, remodel and/or replace the administration roof; as well as additional school furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Proposition 2, in the amount of $115,000, will be used to acquire student transportation equipment.
In 2021, voters approved a $715,000 bond that was utilized to construct, furnish, equip and/or acquire locker rooms, weight room and a classroom, and acquire and install air conditioning at the gymnasium. A balance of $480,000 remains unpaid on that bond.
Also on April 7, voters in the Maud Public School District, which spans two counties (Pottawatomie and Seminole), will choose between Kurtis Dustman and Jaclyn Porterfield for school board member, office one.
March 13 is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the April 7 elections. Applications must be received by the County Election Board or postmarked no later than midnight, March 13, 2026. Applications may also be submitted to any motor vehicle agency that is also an official voter registration agency by the submission deadline.
