House Advances Package That Would Benefit Seminole County
The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday voted to advance a package containing three more appropriations bills for the Fiscal Year 2026, which will benefit Seminole County if approved.
The package includes funding for the Seminole wastewater lift, Konawa water lines and funding for the Wewoka wastewater treatment facility.
Congresswoman Stephanie Bice, who represents Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District, issued a statement Friday on the package advancement.
“This responsible package delivers real results for Oklahoma and the American people. These bills bolster our nuclear defense systems, reinforce water infrastructure, and restore American energy dominance,” Bice said. “It also helps fight against the scourge of fentanyl, provides funding for emergency weather services, defends the Second Amendment and supports law enforcement. These bills also eliminate wasteful Bidenera policies that have held our country back while advancing progrowth initiatives. I was proud to support this package which delivers tangible wins for Oklahoma families and look forward to working with my colleagues to pass the rest of the appropriations bills.”
Other Bice provisions in the package include:
• Funding for Oklahoma Children’s Hospital Security Modernization
• Funding for the University of Central Oklahoma Forensic Science Institute
• Funding for the 911 Center and Logan County Radio Rehabilitation and Modernization Project
• Funding for Piedmont Water Distribution Lines
• Funding for Spencer Water Lines
• Funding for the Bethany Wastewater Lift System
• Funding the Yukon Wastewater Treatment Facility
