Posted in:

A man wanted in connection to a violent home invasion in Holdenville was apprehended in Seminole County earlier this week.

On Monday, The Holdenville Police Department reported that they were on the lookout for Joshua Draper, who was wanted in connection with a home invasion and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon that occurred late Saturday night, Aug. 3. In a bulletin, Draper was described as “armed and dangerous.”

Draper allegedly kicked in the door of a residence at 700 block of South Oak Street, assaulted both occupants, and stabbed a male victim multiple times before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle. The male victim sustained serious injuries, and a female victim was also physically assaulted. The motorcycle used during the escape was later located in the 800 block of East Main Street in Holdenville.

Following a coordinated investigation, Draper was located and apprehended. Agencies involved in the investigation and Draper’s apprehension included the Holdenville Police Department, Hughes County Sheriff’s Office, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and the District 22 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

“The Holdenville Police Department extends its appreciation to all agencies involved and to the community for their assistance. This remains an active investigation, and further updates will be provided as appropriate,” the department posted to its social media page.
