HASNOK Closes Applications For Homeowner Assistance Fund

Posted in:

The Housing Authority of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma (HASNOK) announced earlier this week that it is no longer accepting new applications for the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) program.

HASNOK made the announcement via the Seminole Nation’s social media page.

“Due to high demand, we have reached our current funding capacity and are now focused on assisting applicants who have already been approved or are in process,” the post stated. “We truly appreciate the community’s interest in this program and remain committed to serving as many families as possible. If additional funding becomes available, we will share updates right here on our page. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”

The HAF assists eligible Seminole Nation tribal homeowners and other tribal homeowners mitigate financial hardships associated with the coronavirus pandemic by providing funds to eligible entities for the purpose of preventing homeowner mortgage delinquencies, defaults, foreclosures, loss of utilities or home energy services, and displacements of homeowners experiencing financial hardship after January 21, 2020, through qualified expenses related to mortgages and housing.

More information about the program can be found on the HASNOK website (hasnok. org) or by calling (405) 2576604.
