Tyler Geohagan of Seminole has announced his candidacy for the open Seminole Public Schools Board of Education seat. His campaign announcement appears unedited below.

At 37, Geohagan (pronounced Go-Hay-Gan) brings energy, experience, and an enthusiastic commitment to serve Seminole Public Schools.

Geohagan and his wife, Dr. Jenna Geohagan (formerly Butner), are proud Seminole residents raising third generation Chieftains: Nora (8), Maya (6), and Ella (3). The couple, both Oklahoma Baptist University graduates, married in 2011.

With a proven track record of leadership across multiple sectors, Geohagan knows how to solve complex problems and drive results. His career spans meaningful work in the non-profit sector at the Homeless Alliance and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, where he served as Director of the Food and Resource Center program. Currently, Geohagan is a Construction Project Manager with Oklahoma Hi-Tech for both residential and commercial construction projects. Beyond his professional life, Geohagan is an active community advocate as a contributor on The Center For Community Transformation Taskforce and a founding member of Impact Seminole.

“Our schools are the heartbeat of this community,” Geohagan says. “When we serve our students well and provide excellent education, our entire community has the opportunity for lasting success and prosperity. I’m running for school board because I’m ready to be a champion for Seminole Public Schools—a place where every student can thrive and where we can all take tremendous pride in their achievements.

But advocacy also means being willing to have difficult conversations and make critical decisions that prioritize student outcomes above all else. Our governing body must commit to continuous improvement, foster open and transparent dialogue, and never shy away from the hard work required to ensure excellence.”

“Yes, I have a personal stake in this—my children attend Seminole Public Schools. But I also firmly believe that all of our students’ success directly impacts the future of our entire community. I’m ready to bring my experience, passion, and willingness to tackle tough issues to this vital role. I am excited to announce my candidacy and eager to earn your
