CVEC Invites Area HS Students to ‘Power up’

Posted in:

Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) invites high school students to apply for its upcoming Power Up Day, a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce students to the electric utility industry. Taking place on October 8, 2025, the event offers a unique opportunity to explore the role of a lineman and gain real-world insight into careers that keep our communities connected and energized.

“This event lets students see firsthand the important work our linemen do and understand the role of cooperatives in delivering reliable energy,” said Josh Holt, COO at CVEC. “We’re excited to offer this experience and inspire the next generation of energy professionals.”

Students interested in participating should apply by Friday, September 5, 2025. For more details and to apply, visit https://www. mycvec.coop/youth-programs. For questions, contact Kaci Dennis at 405-230-1421 or email kdennis@mycvec.coop.
