Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) has announced that Director Randall Cole (District 7) has recently completed the Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate (CCD) by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

The NRECA’s The CCD program equips cooperative directors with essential knowledge about the electric business, strategic planning, financial oversight, and the cooperative model that prioritizes member interests.

In today’s rapidly evolving business environment, electric cooperative directors face new demands that require an increased understanding of changes in the electric utility business, new governance skills, and a solid grasp of cooperative principles and business models.

NRECA represents over 900 private, member-owned electric cooperatives across the United States, providing electric service to more than 42 million people in 47 states.

Cole has been on the CVEC board since 2025.
