Caregivers to Trauma Victims Offered Training at RWC

Posted in:

The Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY), in partnership with Fostering Grace for Kids from Hard Places, will host a free Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) training Oct. 22–23 at the Reynolds Wellness Center in Seminole.

The two-day event is open to any adult who works with or cares for children and youth, including parents, foster parents, caregivers, educators and service providers. Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

TBRI is an evidence- based, trauma-informed caregiving model that equips participants with practical tools to build trust, strengthen connections and support positive behavior regulation in children and young people. Organizers are encouraging community members to register now to secure a spot for this free opportunity.

“This training is designed to strengthen the relationships that matter most, the bonds between children and the adults who care for them,” said Amoreena Killough, CSAW coordinator at OCCY. “We are excited to offer this opportunity and provide caregivers with strategies that can make a lasting difference.”

By attending, participants will gain evidence- based strategies to support the growth and success of Oklahoma’s children and youth.

The training is offered at no charge. Register at tinyurl.com/TBRI-SEMINOLE
