Award-Winning Traveling Exhibit Coming to The Seminole Arts Center
The Seminole Arts Center will host The Grand Unseen, an immersive art installation by Oklahoma artist Amber Andersen, opening Monday, Sept. 8.
Andersen, a recipient of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition’s prestigious THRIVE Grant, created The Grand Unseen to bring high-quality art experiences to rural communities across the state. Through large-scale sculpture, handpainted panels, and sound, the exhibit highlights the hidden beauty of insects, fungi, and wild plants. Each stop on the tour expands the exhibit, making it a “living installation” that evolves with every community it visits.
To celebrate the opening, the Seminole Arts Center will host a special meetand-greet with the artist on Monday, Sept. 8, from 4–6 p.m. Guests are invited to connect with Andersen, hear more about her process, and view the exhibit. Tickets are required to attend the exhibit and will be available at the Art Center.
(Continued from Page 1) Following the opening reception, The Grand Unseen will remain on view through Friday, Oct. 18 at the Seminole Arts Center, 139 N. Main Street. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 2–7 p.m.
