Read moreThe Geometry students of Maud High School are presently constructing three-dimensional models. A stella octangula is the current model under scrutiny. The stellated octahedron is the only stellation of the octahedron. The students have turned in their models and provided the surface area as an assignment. The project was to provide inspiration for the students to build an egg drop container. Their egg drop container will be used for the competition at the University of Oklahoma Engineer Open House. The students will be using straws and other material to build their containers. Each container must hold two eggs that touch. The eggs are to land safe without cracking. Hopefully they are eggsperts at this event.
