TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The East Central University football team made history on Saturday by competing in the inaugural First Americans Bowl against Northeastern State University at Doc Wadley Stadium.
The Konawa Tigers had their first home game of the season Tuesday night as the Tigers hosted the Elmore City Badgers.

NORMAN — The College Football Playoff is coming to Norman. Oklahoma was slotted as the CFP’s No. 8 seed Sunday morning and will host No. 9 seed Alabama in a firstround contest Friday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. CT at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised by ABC and ESPN.

Maud, Oklahoma was the location for the Third Annual Maud High School Basketball Tournament this past weekend. The tournament had eight teams competing in the tournament, including Maud.
Alex, Cresent, Depew, Fox, Life Christian, Maysville and Wetumka were the other schools competing.
This past week has been a busy week for 10 Oklahoma County high schools as they competed in the Annual Little River Conference Basketball Tournament. Five of those county schools represent Seminole County.
