Read moreMany thanks go out to the Seminole Firefighters Association Local 2581 for posting the information concerning staffing at our local Fire Department. Most citizens of Seminole had no idea our Fire and EMS service was so understaffed. Apparently our city leaders did not want this information known by the public. The article in the Tuesday, June 9, 2020 issue of the Seminole Producer leads one to believe that there are occasions where our city is protected by only two firefighters for hours at a time. No professional should have to make decisions under those circumstances. I, personally, would love to know more about this scary situation. Can the City Council and the City Manager justify such a dangerous organizational plan? Hope my house does not catch fire during those times when there are only two firefighters present at the station. Am I alone in my concern?
