I have been a student at Strother for 14 years. I started working in an internship this year for video editing and it has helped me learn a lot about the business and different uses for video editing. My goals after graduation are to attend Seminole State College for my general classes, then transfer to another college for photography and video editing.
Read moreMy name is Elara Lee and I am a Salutatorian for Strother for the class of 2023. I’m the daughter of Nick Lee, and grandaughter of Alice and Joe Lee. I’ve been attending Strother for three years, starting my sophomore year, and have been attending Gordon Cooper Technology Center for two years. I’m currently an Advanced Health student at GCTC, where I’m the parliamentarian for our chapter in Health Occupational Students of America. I’ve gained many friends throughout my high school years, including Kayla Martin, Fiona Kanard, Nicole Barnhart, Tomorrow Little, William Moore, and Kaitlyn Dearmond. All of these people have helped push me to be the best student and person I can be, plus help me achieve my goals. After graduation, I plan on continuing my education at Seminole State College, where I was accepted into the Medical Lab Technician program, and continue working as a medication aide in the current nursing home I work at now as a nurse aide.
Read moreHello, my name is Gabe Fiegener and I’ve attended Strother my entire life. I’ve been involved in FFA since the 8th grade. I have shown cattle for the last 6 years and pigs for the past 9 years. I’ve played basketball for 4 years as well as baseball. I went to GCTC and then decided to go concurrent at Seminole State College. I will attend there for one year after I graduate, before going to OSU to pursue my Engineering degree. I’ve been a STUCO member for 6 years, president for 1 year and treasurer for 1 year. I’ve been an officer of our Strother FFA chapter for 3 years. I held the offices of reporter, treasurer, and this year vicepresident. My activities in FFA are showing livestock, ag mechanics, ag sales, skeet shooting, and trap shooting. In 2021, I placed 7th individual at state for ag mechanics. In 2022 at the T&D welding competition I placed 2nd. in the team category. I received my State FFA Degree last month at the State FFA Convention in Tulsa.

I have been a student at Strother for 8 years, where I participated in many extracurricular activities. I was as a member of Student Council starting my junior year. I played basketball and ran cross country and track. I have qualified for state in cross country 1x and for track and field 2x. In addition to being a student of the Pre-Engineering program at Gordon Cooper, I have taken concurrent classes at Seminole State College to further my education. Outside of school I like to hang out with family and friends. I like watching movies and I am trying to learn how to play guitar.
